Knox St. Patrick’s Parade is thrilled to announce that VFL and Denver Broncos legend AL WILSON will serve as Grand Marshal of our 10th Anniversary Parade in 2027. Join us and Al on Saturday, March 13 in downtown Knoxville to celebrate.

A Tennessee football icon, Wilson played linebacker for the Volunteers from 1995–1998, serving as defensive captain and a leader of the Vols’ undefeated 1998 National Championship team. A consensus First-Team All-American, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2021.

Wilson went on to an outstanding NFL career after being selected in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He spent all eight of his NFL seasons in Denver, earning five Pro Bowl selections and First-Team All-Pro honors in 2005.

Beyond football, Al continues to make an impact through youth football camps, community events and philanthropy. He is active in corporate and sports ventures, entrepreneurship, and supporting the Tennessee Volunteers. Al mentors current student-athletes regarding NIL and career choices.

Most recently, he created Al Wilson’s 27 Hard Hitting Tea. This bold new alcoholic beverage embodies the hard-hitting spirit Al brought to the field.

While at UT, he wore the number 27 to honor his mom. Fittingly, for the ’27 parade, he’ll lead the charge.
