Congratulations to Mackenzy Navarro, this year’s recipient of the Knox St. Patrick’s Parade John and Pat McLaughlin Scholarship. Mackenzy is a 2024 graduate of Knoxville Catholic High School and will attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the fall.

Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin were the original organizers of the KSPP in the 80’s. We are honored to have a scholarship awarded to a deserving high school senior in their memory. The McLaughlin family carefully and lovingly chooses the recipient each year.

Presenting the scholarship are KSPP parade organizers Chandle Turbyville and Christy Watkins, and Sue Greer (the McLaughlin’s oldest child).

As Sue beautifully stated, “Irish eyes are smiling.”☘️☘️☘️
